At Dosher Physical Therapy, we know that taking care of your body doesn’t stop when you leave our clinic. For many people in our community, workplace aches and pains are all too common-especially with desk jobs or physically demanding work. That’s why our caring team is here to help you stay comfortable, active, and independent, whether you’re at home, at work, or out enjoying our beautiful Upstate area.

Understanding Workplace Strain

It’s easy to overlook how much time we spend sitting at a desk or performing repetitive tasks. Poor posture and improper workstation setup can lead to:

  • Neck and shoulder stiffness
  • Lower back pain
  • Wrist or forearm discomfort, like carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Tension headaches

If you’re feeling these aches, you’re not alone. Many of our patients at our five Dosher Physical Therapy locations across South Carolina and Georgia face similar challenges and seek relief from our trained therapists. Learn more about our comprehensive physical therapy services and how we can help you address these concerns. Tips for a Healthier Workday

Here are a few simple things you can do to feel better during your workday:

  • Move regularly: Take short breaks to stand, stretch, or walk, even if it’s just for 30 seconds.
  • Adjust your chair: Make sure your hips and knees are at a comfortable 90-degree angle.
  • Keep your keyboard and mouse close: Your hands should rest just below your elbows.
  • Monitor at eye level: This helps prevent neck strain.

These small changes can make a big difference in how you feel by the end of the day.
